Job summary

Mitchells & Butlers plc is offering a Head Chef in Training opportunity within the Toby Carvery brand. You will lead a kitchen team in a district, with a structured training plan to build a kitchen to the Mitchells & Butlers way and be ready to assume a Head Chef role within around six months.

You will be supported by a district team, gain hands-on experience, and have the chance to benefit from the company’s extensive staff discounts, pension and holiday provisions as you progress toward

Qualifications

• Be a seasoned pro in leading a team and developing a business.
• May be currently working as a commercial catering manager, school kitchen manager, care home head chef, sous chef, deputy kitchen manager or manager of an independent business or equivalent.
• Be able to drive, in order to support business in your district whilst training.

Responsibilities

• Train and inspire your team to deliver high-quality food to be proud of.
• Be driven to smash targets with your team driving sales and guest satisfaction.
• Manage food ordering, food preparation and stock control.
• Oversee that your team conforms to health and hygiene regulations.
