Chefs for Chefs is seeking a Head Chef for a thriving fresh food café in Kilnsey, Yorkshire Dales. You will lead the kitchen, craft seasonal menus and ensure top-quality café dishes for around 50 covers daily, rising to 120 in peak periods.

The role offers creative freedom, direct access to owners, and a strong work-life balance with a 40-hour week and no late finishes. £34,000 per year, onsite parking, free meals on duty, and Christmas closure details apply.

Qualifications

• At least two years' experience as a chef in a fresh food environment.
• Experience leading a kitchen or stepping into a Head Chef role.
• Passion for fresh, seasonal produce.
• Creative approach to menu development.
• Strong organisational and leadership skills.
• Positive, hands-on attitude with the wider team.
• Pride in delivering consistently high-quality food.

Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day running of the kitchen.
• Prepare and serve fresh, high-quality café food.
• Develop seasonal menus and daily specials.
• Introduce new ideas, including modern gastro-style dishes.
• Manage food ordering, stock control and kitchen organisation.
• Maintain high standards of food safety and cleanliness.
