Job summary

Caring Homes Group Ltd is seeking a talented Head Chef to lead our kitchen team in delivering nutritious, high-quality meals in a warm, homely dining environment. You will craft seasonal menus, oversee baking and cake decoration, and ensure superb plating for a refined dining experience.

You will collaborate with colleagues across homes, support events, respect dietary needs, and actively listen to residents and families to continually personalise dining.

Qualifications

• Culinary degree or equivalent professional kitchen experience.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Creative flair for menu planning and recipe development.

Responsibilities

• Lead, support, and develop the kitchen team to deliver high-quality, nutritious meals and a warm dining experience.
• Plan and deliver engaging afternoon tea services weekly and a monthly Chef's Table.
• Design and adapt seasonal menus using fresh, locally sourced produce.
• Demonstrate creativity and attention to detail in baking and cake decoration.
• Plate and present dishes to a refined, fine dining standard.
• Engage with residents during service in a professional, friendly manner.
• Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with wider teams to support events and dietary requirements.
• Listen to feedback from residents and families to personalise dining experiences.
