Job summary

Old Bicycle Shop in Cambridge is seeking a Head Chef to lead the kitchen, shape the menu and inspire a talented team. You’ll have autonomy to develop creative menus reflecting the venue, customers and your culinary style.

You will work with fresh, seasonal ingredients to craft menus and daily specials, balancing creativity with strong commercial awareness and high standards across GP, labour and kitchen controls.

Qualifications

• Ambitious, creative, hands-on chef who knows how to get the best out of people and produce.
• Experience as Head Chef or experienced Sous Chef with a proven track record of delivering excellent food and service.
• Passion for fresh, seasonal produce and creative cooking.
• Strong leadership and team development capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead from the front, inspiring your team and developing talent.
• Balance creativity with commercial awareness and maintain GP, labour and operational standards.
• Create seasonal menus and daily specials.
• Manage kitchen rotas, training, food safety and day-to-day kitchen standards.
