Job summary

Young's Old Bicycle Shop in Cambridge is seeking a Sous Chef to lead a kitchen that prides itself on fresh, locally sourced produce and a warm, welcoming service. You will work with the Head Chef to design menus, manage the kitchen team, and ensure quality across brunch, lunch and dinner.

Qualifications

• Search for an existing Sous Chef or Senior CDP aiming for the next step and who leads with passion.
• Demonstrates ability to create quality fresh food with high service standards.
• Strong leadership and hands-on kitchen management are essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a kitchen team alongside the Head Chef.
• Design and deliver new dishes and daily specials.
• Manage staff rota, training and health and safety.
• Maintain GP and labour controls with careful planning.
• Drive sales and growth through kitchen-front of house collaboration.
• Ensure consistent, high-quality food and excellent service.
