Barchester Healthcare Homes Limited in Greater London is seeking a Head Chef to drive high-quality, nutritious menus across our care homes. You will lead a kitchen team, manage budgets and stock, and ensure HACCP standards while delivering a warm, inviting dining experience for residents.

A City & Guilds/NVQ/SVQ or equivalent is preferred, with experience in fresh seasonal cooking and front-of-house coordination.

Qualifications

• Lead a kitchen team and ensure high standards of food hygiene.
• Create nutritious menus tailored to residents' needs.
• Commitment to fresh seasonal ingredients and resident wellbeing.

Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and manage kitchen staff.
• Develop and tailor menus for residents.
• Work with fresh produce to deliver quality dishes.
• Bake fresh cakes and breads where appropriate.
• Assist front of house with dining area setup.
• Manage budgets and stock control.
• Recruitment and retention of kitchen staff.
• Oversee kitchen and dining room operations.
