Barchester Healthcare is seeking a Head Chef to lead and inspire the in-house kitchen team across our care homes, delivering nutritious, flavoursome meals to residents while maintaining hotel/restaurant standards. You will have autonomy to create well-balanced menus and drive ongoing team development within a supportive environment.

Qualificações

• Personable and warm approach with genuine interest in resident wellbeing.
• Experience leading and inspiring a kitchen team.
• Experience with fresh seasonal food and nutrition.
• Ability to create a warm, welcoming environment within care homes.
• Confidence engaging with residents to tailor appetising menus.
• Experience coordinating with front of house to maintain high dining standards.
• Strong understanding of HACCP and COSHH.
• Knowledge of IDDSI diet framework and training available if new to care.

Responsabilidades

• Lead, motivate and inspire a kitchen team; develop and upskill where required.
• Develop menus tailored to residents to deliver person-centred hospitality.
• Prepare high quality dishes using fresh produce and maintain high standards.
• Bake fresh cakes, scones and breads from scratch.
• Assist front of house with dining area setup.
• Manage budgets, conduct audits and stock control.
• Foster a warm, efficient and enjoyable kitchen environment.
• Oversee recruitment and retention; manage performance of kitchen and front of house teams.
