Barchester Healthcare is seeking a passionate Head Chef to deliver hotel/restaurant standards within our care homes, with full autonomy to create nutritious, flavoursome menus and lead kitchen teams to high service levels.

You will oversee 4/5 days work, with alternate weekends, manage budgets, stock, audits and recruitment, while ensuring residents receive appetising, balanced meals and a warm dining environment.

• Lead, motivate and inspire a kitchen team
• Develop menus tailored to residents’ needs
• Use fresh seasonal produce to deliver high-quality dishes
• Bake fresh cakes, scones and breads from scratch
• Assist FOH with dining setup
• Manage budgets, audits and stock control
• Create a warm, efficient, and safe environment
• Recruitment and retention of staff
• Oversee kitchen and FOH performance
