Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Head Chef to oversee both the Novotel and Ibis hotels in Southampton. You will lead in creating kitchens to be proud of, inspiring your team to ensure all food leaving the kitchens meets the highest standards. Managing all kitchen operations, you will be an integral part of our combined hotel team in Southampton.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Train and inspire your team to deliver food to be proud of.
  • Maintain high standards of quality, presentation, and hygiene.
  • Display energy, adaptability, and passion for Modern British cuisine.
  • Exhibit strong leadership and organizational skills.
  • Minimize wastage and encourage creative thinking.
  • Ensure effective kitchen planning for smooth service and customer satisfaction.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Lead with enthusiasm, maintaining high food standards and customer service.
  • Prepare freshly cooked food with attention to detail and presentation.
  • Lead, coach, and develop your team effectively.
  • Manage budgets and be financially aware.
  • Plan staff rotas to ensure adequate coverage.
  • Order food supplies matching menu demands.
  • Conduct stock takes according to company standards.
  • Comply with fire, safety, and hygiene regulations.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and punctuality, ensuring high personal hygiene standards.
  • Work well under pressure, remaining calm at all times.

Working Hours

  • Based on business needs, including mornings, evenings, late nights, and weekends.

Qualifications

  • Qualified Head Chef
