Our client is a well-established contemporary 40-bedroom hotel located on 18 acres by the shores of Ullswater, near Penrith. The hotel features three food outlets: a main restaurant offering a seasonal 3-course menu influenced by local flavors, a casual dining area open for lunch and dinner, and a Victorian Glasshouse with a pizza kitchen and cocktails by the shore. The hotel is renowned locally and beyond for its relaxed atmosphere and beautiful setting.
As Head Chef, you will oversee and manage all kitchen operations across the hotel, including events and parties. You should be a skilled kitchen manager, capable of creating exciting dishes and planning menus. You must have sound knowledge of budget management and achieving good GP targets. The ideal candidate is an experienced, professional chef with strong kitchen management and excellent people skills, who will work with the building's history and senior management to present a locally sourced, traditional menu.
