About The Stafford London

The Stafford London is ideally located for West End theatres, dining, and shopping at Bond Street, Jermyn Street, and Regent Street. Green Park underground & Victoria Station are within walking distance. Surrounded by art galleries and museums, the property is next to royal palaces and parks.

About the role, what will I be doing?

  • Review monthly sales performance and profit/loss with the Executive Head Chef & Culinary Strategist.
  • Contribute to business strategy discussions to ensure maximum results.
  • Ensure quality and profitability of food production across all outlets.
  • Maintain high standards of food production and service, regularly testing and reviewing these standards.
  • Review guest feedback to ensure quality levels are maintained.
  • Maximize productivity and efficiency within the kitchen team.
  • Minimize waste of man-hours through effective rostering, working within budgeted payroll targets.
  • Organize the kitchen to meet business demands, focusing on food costings and restaurant payroll.
  • Participate in target setting with senior managers and communicate these effectively to the team.
  • Support in creating and executing menus, ensuring margins are met and communication with service staff is effective.
  • Encourage results-driven ethos, ensuring quality is not compromised.
  • Manage food stock items and order from approved suppliers.
  • Motivate the kitchen team, leading from the front with confidence and positivity.
  • Create and develop recipe manuals/SOPs for new dishes and menus, including photographs.
  • Train the team to improve skills and product knowledge, including cross-training in other areas.
  • Promote kitchen exchanges with other properties to develop team skills.
  • Participate in recruitment and selection of kitchen staff.
  • Implement and review food hygiene practices and procedures to ensure compliance.
  • Ensure compliance with all legal, government, and company policies related to fire, health, and safety.
  • Perform any additional tasks as requested by senior management.

  • Strong people management and communication skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office.
  • Experience in menu development and writing.
  • Flexible working hours and shifts.
  • Accountable, resilient, and well-organized.
  • Discreet, able to handle confidential issues.
  • Calm under pressure with excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • High level of English proficiency.
  • Experience managing food costs and staff training.
  • Self-motivated and adaptable.
