We are seeking a dedicated Head Chef to lead our kitchen team at Lovell Place, a luxury care home providing residential, dementia, and nursing care for older people. You will be responsible for ensuring an exceptional dining experience for our residents.

Key Responsibilities

1. Plan and prepare nutritionally balanced, varied menus catering to dietary requirements (e.g., diabetic, vegetarian, allergen-free)
2. Lead the kitchen team, ensuring safety, cleanliness, and health standards
3. Manage food ordering and stock to maintain quality and control costs
4. Engage with residents to understand and cater to their preferences
5. Train and mentor kitchen staff to foster a professional team environment

About You

• Proven experience as a head chef, preferably in a care home or healthcare setting
• Strong knowledge of dietary requirements, allergen management, and food safety
• Leadership skills with the ability to inspire and manage a team
• Friendly, approachable, and committed to excellent service
• Understanding of care home regulations (desirable)
• Empathy and a desire to positively impact residents' lives
• Ability to multitask, work under pressure, and take initiative in a fast-paced environment
