Job summary

Exclusive Household Staff is seeking an experienced Head Butler to join a prestigious private estate in the United Kingdom. The role involves leading the butler team and delivering the highest standards of personalised service to the Principals and their guests.

You will oversee daily service, dining experiences, wine service, wardrobe care, and travel preparations, while maintaining discretion and professionalism in all interactions.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Senior Butler or Head Butler.
• UHNW private household, luxury yacht or five-star hotel experience.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Exceptional formal and silver service knowledge.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
• High levels of discretion, emotional intelligence and attention to detail.
• Fluent English; additional languages advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage and develop the household butler team.
• Oversee daily service, schedules, rotas and household logistics.
• Deliver discreet, highly personalised service to the Principals and their guests.
• Coordinate formal dining, silver service, private events and fine dining experiences.
• Provide expert wine and beverage service, including cellar management where required.
• Oversee wardrobe, garment and shoe care, as well as packing and unpacking for travel.
• Liaise with suppliers, contractors and external service providers.
• Manage household inventories, including pantry supplies, china, silverware and wine.
• Work closely with the Estate Manager and House Manager to ensure the smooth running of the estate.
• Train and mentor junior household staff.
• Maintain the highest standards of discretion, confidentiality and professionalism.

The Head Butler will lead and supervise the butler team, ensuring the seamless day-to-day running of the household and maintaining impeccable five-star standards at all times
