Qualifications

• Experience as a Butler in a private household or luxury service environment.
• Full, clean UK driving licence and luxury/executive driving experience.
• Impeccable presentation and discretion; ability to anticipate needs.

Responsibilities

• Deliver personalised service to Principals and guests.
• Provide formal and informal dining service, including table settings and service etiquette.
• Assist with private dinners, family gatherings and household events.
• Maintain presentation of private spaces, dining areas and personal environments.
• Drive Principals to appointments, restaurants, airports and other destinations.
• Maintain luxury vehicles in a presentable, road-ready condition.
• Manage household errands, shopping, collections, deliveries and ad-hoc requests.
• Assist with wardrobe organisation, packing and unpacking, and care for personal belongings.
• Work closely with the House Manager and wider household team.
• Prepare the residence for Principals' arrival and return from travel; adapt to travel schedule.

The Opportunity

An established private UHNW household in Central London is seeking a polished, discreet and service-driven Butler / Driver to support two Principals and their family.

Working alongside an experienced House Manager and established household team, the successful candidate will deliver exceptional personal service, formal and informal dining support, executive driving and day-to-day household assistance.

This is a hands-on position suited to an experienced private service professional who is proactive, detail-oriented and confident anticipating the needs of the Principals while maintaining the highest standards of discretion and presentation.

Key Responsibilities

Butler & Personal Service

• Deliver exceptional, personalised service to the Principals and their guests.
• Provide formal and informal food and beverage service, including table setting and dining preparation.
• Assist with private dinners, family gatherings and household events.
• Maintain the presentation of private spaces, dining areas and personal environments.

Driving & Errands

• Drive the Principals to appointments, restaurants, airports and other destinations.
• Maintain luxury vehicles in a clean, presentable and road-ready condition.
• Manage household errands, shopping, collections, deliveries and ad-hoc requests.

Wardrobe & Personal Items

• Assist with wardrobe organisation, packing and unpacking.
• Care for clothing, shoes, leather goods and other luxury personal belongings.
• Maintain silverware, glassware and other high-value household items.

Household & Team Support

• Work closely with the House Manager and wider household team.
• Assist with household stock, restocking and preparation for the Principals' arrival.
• Maintain the residence and prepare the property for the Principals' return following periods of travel.
• Adapt to a lighter attendance schedule when the Principals are away, while maintaining agreed household standards.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Previous Butler experience within a private household or comparable luxury service environment.
• A full, clean UK driving licence and proven luxury or executive driving experience.
• Strong knowledge of formal and informal dining service, table settings and service etiquette.
• Experience with wardrobe care, packing and unpacking, and luxury personal belongings.
• Impeccable presentation, exceptional attention to detail and a proactive approach.
• The ability to anticipate requirements and work independently with minimal supervision.
• Absolute discretion, confidentiality and an understanding of professional boundaries.
• Flexibility to accommodate changing schedules, including evenings and weekends.
• Willingness to travel internationally when required.
• A collaborative, reliable and professional approach to working within an established household team.

The Working Environment

You will join a long-established private household with an experienced, collaborative team. The role requires adaptability, a strong work ethic and the ability to work seamlessly alongside other household staff, taking direction from the House Manager where appropriate.

The working pattern will vary according to the Principals' movements. Periods of increased activity when the family is in London will be balanced by significantly reduced attendance when they are travelling, with the full salary maintained during these periods.
