Job summary

Black Sheep Coffee Ltd is seeking front of house leaders to drive sales, service and morale in a fast-paced cafe setting with 40 contracted hours per week. Rota includes varied shifts Mon-Sun, with openings and closings.

You will lead a team, deliver memorable customer service, and manage cash and stock while upholding brand standards. Previous management in coffee or retail is preferred, with flexible availability for early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Make amazing coffee and products with dialed-in espresso and latte art.
• Deliver great customer service and handle complaints professionally.
• Work with speed and efficiency during peak periods without sacrificing quality.
• Manage cash-up and bank drops following procedures.
• Train and support the team, and communicate clearly during shifts.
• Maintain a clean, safe workspace and complete daily checks.
• Oversee stock orders to ensure full availability.
• Lead by example and enforce attendance, timekeeping, and food safety standards.

We’re looking for the best front of house leaders in town to drive up our sales, service, and morale. With a background in leading a team within the hospitality or retail sector you will be able to thrive in this fast-paced and rewarding role.

What You'll Do

• Make amazing coffee and products - dial in the perfect espresso, pour eye-catching latte art, and serve quality food and drinks every time. Ensuring your team do too.
• Deliver unforgettable customer service - provide a friendly, genuine customer experience at the register and professionally handle customer complaints and escalations.
• Thrive in a fast-paced environment - work with speed and efficiency during peak periods while maintaining quality and accuracy.
• Manage compliant cash-up and bank drops - Follow all cash-handling, safety, and security procedures.
• Be a true team player - Support ad hoc tasks assigned by General Manager, help train new team and communicate clearly and calmly during every shift.
• Take pride in the details - maintain a clean, safe workspace and represent the brand with positivity and professionalism. Complete daily and shift-based cleaning, food prep, compliance checklists.
• Keep service running smoothly and drive sales – place and receive stock orders to always ensure full availability.
• Lead by example - motivate and train the team on the required behavioural standards, company policies related to attendance, timekeeping, food safety, and workplace conduct.
