Job summary

Activate Learning invites applications for an HE Advisory Teacher to support adult learners in Higher Education. You will teach Level 5 undergraduate students on a Practitioner Research Project module and supervise their progress while supporting other HE programmes.

You will maintain online resources using Blackboard and help widen participation for non-traditional learners. The role is casual with variable hours based at Bracknell and Wokingham college.

Qualifications

  • Experience conducting research in education sector.
  • Experience teaching Higher Education to Level 5 adult learners.
  • Confident using and maintaining Blackboard or similar VLE.

Responsibilities

  • Teach and supervise Level 5 undergraduate students on a Practitioner Research Project module.
  • Support wider participation and non-traditional learners in HE programmes.
  • Maintain online learning resources via the University’s Blackboard system.

Are you passionate about supporting adult learners and helping students succeed in Higher Education?

We are seeking an experienced and motivated HE Advisory Teacher to join our team. In this rewarding role, you will teach and supervise Level 5 undergraduate students undertaking a Practitioner Research Project module, with a particular focus on supporting wider participation and non-traditional learners.
Alongside module delivery, you will play a key role in providing support across other Higher Education programmes and maintaining online learning resources through the University's Blackboard system.

This is a casual, variable hours role based at our Bracknell and Wokingham college.

What do you need to be successful as an HE Advisory Teacher at Activate Learning?

We are looking for a candidate with recent experience of conducting research within the education sector and teaching educational research to Level 5 adult learners. You will have experience teaching and supporting Higher Education students from diverse backgrounds, particularly those from widening participation and non-traditional routes into Higher Education. The successful candidate will be confident using and maintaining the University Blackboard system, or a similar virtual learning environment. A genuine commitment to helping students achieve their academic goals and succeed in Higher Education is essential.
