The Opportunity
We are urgently seeking an HCPC Registered BiomedicalScientist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be avital part of our laboratory operations, ensuring the higheststandards of patient care and laboratory excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform analysis ofblood, haematological, and biochemical samples.
- Validate,interpret, and authorise laboratory results.
- Monitor andmaintain quality control procedures and documentation.
- Perform daily maintenance and troubleshooting on laboratoryequipment (e.g., haematology analysers, biochemistry analysers,immunochemistry analysers, microscopes, PCR equipment).
- Prepare and process patient samples, ensuring proper sampleintegrity and quality standards.
- Manage stock levels andliaise with senior staff regarding supply requirements.
- Contribute to updating standard operating procedures andcontinuous improvement initiatives.
- Participate actively instaff training, supervision, and professional development.
- Handle urgent communications of critical results to clinicalstaff.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulationsand laboratory best practices.
- Collaborate closely with theteam to deliver fast, reliable, and quality diagnostic services.
Requirements
- BSc/MSc inBiomedical Science (Essential ).
- HCPC Registration asa Biomedical Scientist (Essential ).
- Minimum of 3years' post-graduate experience in a medical laboratory/pathologysetting (Essential ).
- Strong knowledge and hands-onexperience with key laboratory equipment.
- Excellent attentionto detail, analytical skills, and ability to work independently.
- Outstanding communication and customer service skills.
- Must be fluent in English.

Workinghours
- Full-time position based on 40 hours per weekminimum.
- Shift patterns range between 8 to 12 hours per day.
