Join us as a Hazards Engineer / Senior Hazards Engineer and play a vital role in assessing risks for our nuclear clients, helping them and us to realize our low carbon energy ambitions, shaping a better future for our planet and its people.
This role focuses on internal and external hazards assessments and analyses, emphasizing team building, delivering technical excellence, and fostering long-term client relationships. You might lead high-profile hazards safety case delivery, interfacing with civil, process, or other engineering disciplines, or develop innovative solutions to evaluate meteorological hazards impacting the UK nuclear fleet. Responsibilities may include detailed hazard assessments such as fire, flooding, and seismic risks.
The role offers opportunities to work with clients in nuclear new build (including fusion and SMR), defence, and nuclear generation. You will support project delivery, solve complex problems, and communicate solutions effectively. Your commitment to quality, attention to detail, and strategic vision will be vital.
You will collaborate with the wider technical community within AtkinsRéalis, leveraging global expertise for multidisciplinary teamwork. Additionally, you will mentor junior engineers, supporting growth and enhancing project delivery while developing your leadership skills.
