Job summary

OUTSIDE THE BOX is seeking an experienced Creative Pattern Cutter to join our expanding Haute Couture atelier in Greater London. You will work closely with the Lead Pattern Cutter and Designer to craft bespoke pieces with exceptional craftsmanship.

The ideal candidate has at least seven years' atelier experience, passion for pattern cutting, draping, corsetry, and couture design, and a meticulous eye for detail to translate design visions into flawless patterns.

Qualifications

• 7+ years' experience as a creative pattern cutter.
• Advanced knowledge in construction methods.
• Excellent finishing skills and great attention to detail.
• Advanced knowledge of working with couture fabrics and techniques.
• Experience drafting patterns for corsetry to manipulate the body.

Responsibilities

• Follow working notes and drawings relating to the manual creation of patterns.
• Interpret design to pattern, including scale and proportions.
• Pad a stand to base on clients' measurements and create patterns.
• Advanced draping skills and creating patterns on a stand.
• Be confident in creating corsets for bespoke clients.
• Collaborate with the Couture Collection Development Director to manage projects and deadlines.
• Manage workload to meet agreed timescales.
