Job summary

Dilara Findikoglu is seeking a senior pattern cutter to join our London studio, developing, finalising and ensuring accuracy of patterns for Made-to-Order, Couture, Ready-to-Wear and Production. You will work with designers, studio and external partners to meet design intent, fit and finishing requirements.

You will oversee patterns prepared for grading for pre-production and manufacturing, ensuring quality across packing and production.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years as pattern cutter/engineer in luxury fashion.
• Proficient in draping and pattern development for couture.
• Strong understanding of fit and body proportions.
• Knowledge of corsetry and boning techniques is advantageous.
• Experience with tailoring gowns and haute couture.
• Able to work under pressure in a fast-paced studio.
• Excellent communication and collaboration with design teams.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with designer and studio to create and amend patterns.
• Prepare patterns for manufacturing with seam allowances and labels.
• Update technical packs with sizes and trim details.
• Support production quality throughout pattern development.
• Participate in fittings and adjust patterns for desired fit.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced SeniorPatternCutterto join our team at Dilara Findikoglu. This is a unique opportunity to work across a diverse range of collections, including Made-to-Order, Couture, Ready-to-Wear, and Production. As part of our creative team, you will play a critical role in developing, finalising, and ensuring the accuracy ofpatternsfor both private clients and bulk production.

You will be expected to work closely with the designer, studio team, and external production partners, ensuring that allpatternsmeet the specified design intent, fit, and finishing requirements. Your ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to shifting priorities will be crucial in maintaining the flow of production across varying deadlines and schedules.

You will be responsible for ensuring allpatternsare ready for both grading for pre-production and manufacturing. A keen attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment will be vital in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the designer and studio team to create, develop, and amendpatternsfrom initial sketches, reference samples, or archival blocks, ensuring design and production requirements are met.
• Prepare accurate and comprehensivepatternsfor manufacturing, including the application of seam allowances, notches, grain lines, and labels.
• Update technical packs with essential information such as size charts, trim sheets, fusing details, and other relevant specifications.
• Support the production team in ensuring that quality standards are upheld throughout thepatterndevelopment and production process.
• Participate in fittings, providing valuable insights and support in adjustingpatternsfor the desired fit and silhouette.
• Ensure allpatternpacks are thoroughly cross-checked and updated, maintaining consistency and accuracy across all stages of production.
• Maintain an organised and efficient workflow, adhering to production and ensuring timely completion of tasks to meet project deadlines.

Key Skills & Experience:

• A minimum of 5 years of experience as aPatternCutter, Engineer, or Technician within a high-end or luxury fashion environment.
• Proficiency in draping is essential.
• Strong understanding of fit and body proportion, with the ability to adaptpatternsto diverse body types.
• Knowledge of corsetry and experience with boning techniques is highly advantageous.
• Expertise in tailoring, gowns, and Haute Couture
• Ability to work under pressure and adapt quickly to changing schedules and priorities.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, creative studio environment.
• Attention to detail, with a strong commitment to maintaining high standards of quality.

• Based in London, with the flexibility to work additional hours during peak times in response to seasonal demands.
• A passion for the brand and an understanding of its design ethos is highly desirable.
• Full time preferred, 4 days minimum.
