Avara Foods is seeking a Hatchery Operative to support daily hatchery operations in the Chick Process team. You'll help ensure chicks are processed efficiently while maintaining welfare standards, contributing to the wider business goals.

No experience is necessary as full training is provided; the role offers a 3-month FTC with guaranteed hours and overtime opportunities, paid weekly, and on-site parking at our site in England.

• A flexible and positive approach to tasks and responsibilities.
• Previous experience in a similar role is beneficial but not essential, as full training will be provided.

Working Hours

Monday-Saturday 06:00-16:00 on a 6 week rotation pattern

About The Role

As a Hatchery Operative within the Chick Process team, you will play an important role in supporting the hatchery's day-to-day operations. Your work will help ensure chicks are processed efficiently and to the highest welfare standards, contributing to the success of the wider business.

Key Responsibilities Include

• Grading and handling chicks with care and attention to detail
• Lifting, stacking, and preparing chick boxes for dispatch
• Moving chick stacks safely to the dispatch area
• Maintaining high standards of hygiene through the cleaning and sanitisation of work areas and equipment at the end of each shift
