Job summary

Empowering Learning is assisting a lovely SEN School in Harrogate to recruit an EYFS SEN Teacher for a full-time role starting ASAP. The successful candidate will be passionate, nurturing and experienced, ready to support children with SEN within the Early Years Foundation Stage.

You will plan engaging lessons, assess progress, and collaborate with SENCOs and families to ensure an inclusive, safe learning environment where every child can thrive.

Qualifications

• QTS or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Experience in EYFS and/or with children with SEN.
• Patient, caring, enthusiastic and child-centred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, inclusive EYFS learning experiences.
• Provide targeted support for children with additional and special educational needs.
• Develop positive relationships with children, families and colleagues.
• Create a nurturing, safe and stimulating classroom environment.
• Monitor and assess children's progress and adapt teaching accordingly.
• Work closely with SENCOs, support staff and external professionals where appropriate.
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to individual support plans.
• Promote children's communication, independence, confidence and wellbeing.
