Job summary

Expert Employment Limited is seeking an FPGA Engineer to join a team working across FPGA High Speed Communications, Ethernet, CAN, LIN, digital video and RF.

You will design high speed digital circuits, use Orcad/Altium for schematic entry and layout, code FPGAs in VHDL or Embedded C, and utilise MATLAB for analysis.

The role emphasizes robust verification, translating system requirements into board-level designs and ensuring on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• High speed digital design of multilayer PCB ideally in Orcad and Altium.
• FPGAs using VHDL or Embedded C to bridge firmware and hardware.
• MATLAB
• High quality, right first time designs track record on time and to budget.
• Good quality degree or equivalent in electronics.

Responsibilities

• Design high speed digital designs and simulate the analogue sections.
• Orcad and Altium schematic entry and layout.
• Interfacing and configuring RF and associated design.
• Hardware Test and verification of new electronic assemblies and sub assemblies.
• Translate system requirement specifications into board level designs ensuring robust verification, by test specifications and circuit descriptions.
