Future Talent Group in Oxford is seeking a Hardware Engineer to design and develop embedded electronics powering autonomous platforms. The role involves ownership from concept to deployment, tackling PCB design, firmware, prototyping and validation for real‑world environments.
You will collaborate with software, systems and mechanical engineers to integrate hardware across the full product lifecycle, support EMC testing and regulatory compliance, and drive production‑readiness from prototype
We’re supporting a rapidly growing autonomous systems business developing secure, next-generation drone technology that helps customers inspect critical infrastructure, monitor risk and make better decisions using real-time data.
As the UK engineering team expands, we’re looking for an experienced Hardware Engineer to design and develop the embedded electronics that power autonomous platforms deployed in real-world environments.
This is a hands‑on engineering role with ownership from concept through to deployment. You’ll work across PCB design, embedded firmware, prototyping, testing and product validation, collaborating with multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver robust, production‑ready hardware.
We’re looking for someone who enjoys building products from the ground up and is equally comfortable working across electronics and embedded software.
You’ll ideally have experience with:
Importantly, this is a dual-skill role. We’re looking for engineers who can demonstrate experience across both PCB design and embedded firmware development, rather than one discipline in isolation.
