Job summary

ALSTOM in the United Kingdom is seeking a hardware engineer to deliver timely electronics designs for a range of systems. You will report to the Head of Engineering and collaborate with production, project teams and customers to ensure safety, cost efficiency, and high quality.

You will investigate hardware challenges and implement improvements while upholding ALSTOM quality standards and health and safety rules.

Qualifications

• Understanding of analog and digital electronics design.
• Experience applying best practice design methods and CI techniques.
• Knowledge of health and safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide hardware engineering support for electronic systems.
• Collaborate with production, project teams, and customers to align with objectives.
• Lead or assist in investigations into hardware challenges.
• Recommend design changes to improve reliability and performance.
• Ensure compliance with UK Health and Safety Regulations and ALSTOM quality standards.
• Contribute to introducing new hardware designs from planning to implementation.
• Represent Engineering in internal and external meetings.
