• Lead a senior leadership function within a UK regional port to ensure navigational safety, statutory compliance and operational excellence.

Our client is seeking an experienced and highly capable Harbour Master to lead the safe, compliant and efficient management of marine operations within one of the UK's leading regional ports. This is a senior leadership position with responsibility for ensuring the highest standards of navigational safety, statutory compliance and operational excellence across all harbour activities.

The Harbour Master will:

• Oversee marine operations, vessel traffic services, pilotage, cargo handling and port safety systems, while leading a team of Deputy and Assistant Harbour Masters.
• The successful candidate will play a key role in developing and maintaining the Port Marine Safety Management System, managing operational risk, fostering strong relationships with port users and regulatory bodies, and providing expert technical advice to senior leadership.
• This opportunity is ideal for a proven maritime professional with significant experience in harbour or port operations, strong leadership capability and an in-depth understanding of marine safety legislation and the Port Marine Safety Code.
• Previous experience as a Harbour Master is essential.
