  • Coordinate global marine and STS operational activities, ensuring safe, compliant and efficient service delivery.
  • Act as a visible safety leader and promote a strong safety culture across the business.
  • Ensure marine operations are effectively planned, risk assessed, resourced, executed and reviewed.
  • Coordinate technical teams, superintendents and specialist marine personnel to support operational requirements.
  • Develop, review and continuously improve operational procedures, risk assessments and control measures.
  • Monitor compliance with industry standards, legislation and recognised marine guidance.
  • Lead incident reporting, investigations and lessons learned activities.
  • Support tender submissions, client discussions and project mobilisation activities.
  • Monitor operational performance, key risks and resource requirements, reporting directly to senior leadership.
  • Support audit readiness and compliance activities across the business.

Jackson Hogg are delighted to be supporting a growing marine solutions business in the appointment of a newly created Marine Manager position.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced marine professional to join a well established organisation operating globally across marine and ship-to-ship (STS) transfer operations. As a newly established role within the business, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to shape operational processes, drive marine safety standards and play a key role in supporting the company's future growth.

The Marine Manager will be responsible for coordinating marine operations, technical support and superintendent resources, ensuring all activities are delivered safely, efficiently and in full compliance with industry regulations and best practice.

We are particularly keen to speak with candidates who have progressed from a seafaring background, such as former Mooring Masters, Chief Officers, Marine Superintendents or Master Mariners, who are looking to further develop their shore-based leadership career.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will possess significant experience within marine operations and be comfortable operating within a highly regulated, safety-critical environment.

Essential Experience
  • Seafaring background with experience in tanker, offshore, marine, terminal or STS operations.
  • Previous experience as a Mooring Master, Chief Officer, Marine Superintendent, Master Mariner or similar marine leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of Ship-to-Ship (STS) transfer operations.
  • Experience coordinating operational and technical marine resources.
  • Strong understanding of marine safety, risk management and operational governance.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement procedures, risk assessments and operational controls.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
