We’re currently seeking a skilled and reliable Handy Man/Womanfor an exciting temp-to-perm opportunity involving fireplace rip-outs and installations. This role offers long-term potential for the right candidate and the chance to work on a variety of domestic projects alongside a qualified Gas Safe engineer.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carefully removing old fireplaces and surrounds
• Installing new fireplace units (various styles and materials)
• Assisting a Gas Safe engineer to ensure all installations meet safety and compliance standards
• Carrying out basic building works (e.g., making good, plastering, boxing in)
• Maintaining a clean and safe working environment

Requirements:

• Proven experience in a similar multi-trade role (e.g., carpentry, basic plastering, general building)
• Good understanding of safe working practices around gas appliances
• Ability to work efficiently as part of a team
• Own tools and transport preferred
• CSCS card desirable but not essential
