Calibre Search is excited to present a Handyman opportunity in Barnstaple for a facilities-focused role with a leading UK company. You will cover Barnstaple and the surrounding region, performing multi-disciplinary maintenance across commercial premises.

The job includes building, painting, plumbing and general maintenance with a mix of PPM and reactive works. A basic plumbing background and retail experience are advantageous. Salary package and benefits accompany the role.

Qualifications

• Some experience with basic plumbing in a commercial setting will be beneficial for this role.
• Experience working in commercial premises, particularly the retail sector, would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Carry out multi-disciplinary building maintenance across roofing, brickwork, floors and car parks.
• Perform routine PPM and reactive repairs including roller shutters, painting and decorating.
• Unblock drains, fix taps and leaks, and assist with general plumbing tasks as required.

Job description

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Handyman / Handyperson based in the Barnstaple and surrounding area to join one of the UK's leading facilities management companies. You will be working covering the Barnstaple and the surrounding region.

Some experience with basic plumbing in a commercial setting will be beneficial for this role.

This will be is a multi-site role offering building maintenance services across a range of disciplines aimed at keeping services and costs in-house. Experience working in commercial premises, particularly the retail sector, would be a distinct advantage.

The work consists of a mix of PPM and reactive building works internally and externally to include:

Building

• Roof - repair roof leaks and quarterly gutter and gully clearance
• Brickwork - repairs to walls
• Floor - repair vinyl and ceramic tiles
• Car Park / yard works
• Roller shutters - annual PPM and reactive repairs

Painting and decorating

• Carry out minor painting repairs

Plumbing and drainage

• Unblock drains, urinals, toilets, and sinks.
• Repair leaking taps and washers.

For the right candidate a fantastic salary / package is on offer consisting of the following:

• Basic salary - £30,000
• 40 hours per week
