Job summary

Sammons Recruitment Ltd is currently seeking a meticulous Yard Co‑ordinator to help manage a busy machinery depot in Farnham. You will oversee yard activities, coordinate machine movements and ensure equipment is prepared for delivery, with strong emphasis on safety and organisation.

In this hands‑on role, you will work closely with workshop and transport teams to check machines on arrival, manage PDIs and documentation, and maintain a tidy, efficient yard.

Qualifications

• Experience in yard/transport/plant environment is beneficial.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
• Attention to detail when checking machinery and documentation.
• Good communication with workshop, transport and admin teams.
• Practical, proactive approach to maintaining a clean, safe working environment.
• Flexibility to support different aspects of the role as requirements change.
• Experience with a dealer management system (DMS) would be advantageous.
• Relevant training or experience in moving machinery and attachments would be beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate incoming and outgoing machinery and vehicle movements in the yard.
• Check new/used machines on arrival for specs, attachments and any damage.
• Ensure machines are prepped for dispatch with PDIs, attachments, certificates and third‑party equipment.
• Coordinate PDI schedules and confirm all required internal and external work is completed.
• Carry out final checks before dispatch including fuel levels and machine specs.
• Record videos of machines leaving the workshop and maintain documentation.
• Keep the yard clean, organised and safe with proper stock locations.
• Support the workshop team with machine movements and depot duties.
• Monitor housekeeping, waste levels, walkways and car park maintenance.
