Prime Appointments is seeking a Workshop Technician for a family-run engineering firm in Hadleigh, Suffolk. The role demands mechanical experience, hydraulic know-how, and the ability to operate both independently and within a team to meet changing workloads.

The position offers a negotiable salary starting from £30,000+, with overtime at enhanced rates and a profit-share scheme paid quarterly. The role is full-time, Monday to Friday, 7:30–16:30, with 31 days annual leave included.

Qualifications

• Understanding of basic hydraulic principles is essential.
• Competent knowledge of mechanical systems.
• Experience stripping down, cleaning, repairing & rebuilding assemblies.

Responsibilities

• Strip down, clean, repair and rebuild assemblies.
• Work on own or as part of a team to meet changing workload demands.
• Utilise computer literacy and communicate effectively in the workshop.
