Job summary

Lloyd Recruitment Services is recruiting on behalf of a well-established construction business in East Grinstead for a Warehouse Operative on a permanent, full-time basis.

The role involves coordinating movements of materials, receiving deliveries, and maintaining stock accuracy in a busy warehouse. Salary is £30,000 DOE plus benefits, with typical hours 7:30am-4:30pm or 8:00am-5:00pm including a one-hour lunch.

Qualifications

• Experience within warehousing, stores, logistics, construction or a similar environment.
• Practical mindset and willingness to get involved.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• The confidence to manage stock, deliveries and equipment independently.
• A proactive approach and the ability to identify and resolve issues.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with site and office teams.

Responsibilities

• Coordinating the movement and distribution of materials and equipment.
• Receiving deliveries and ensuring items are stored correctly.
• Monitoring inventory and ordering or replenishing stock when required.
• Taking responsibility for the storage facility and ensuring it remains efficient and well-organised.
• Coordinating the allocation, return and upkeep of tools and machinery.
• Making sure equipment is in good working order and available when needed.
• Assisting with the preparation and clearance of construction sites.
• Ensuring materials, tools and equipment are delivered to the right location at the right time.
• Keeping accurate records and maintaining a safe, tidy working environment.
