Job summary

FMG Repair Services is recruiting an Apprentice MET Technician in Exeter to join a supportive bodyshop team. The role offers a 36‑month apprenticeship, hands-on learning across multiple MET disciplines, and a nationally recognised Level 3 qualification.

You’ll gain practical skills, work under a mentor, and have block-release training every six weeks, with potential for a permanent role after completion.

Qualifications

• GCSE English (4/C) or above required.
• GCSE Maths (4/C) or above required.
• No prior experience needed; curiosity and willingness to learn.
• On-the-job training with block-release sessions.

Responsibilities

• Assist and learn across tasks in the bodyshop.
• Remove and refit mechanical, electrical, trim components.
• Learn to diagnose vehicle faults and electrical systems.
• Follow repair methods to BS10125 quality standards.
• Maintain tools and a clean, safe working environment.
