Lucideon, a materials science consultancy, is seeking a Junior Test Engineer to perform hands-on testing of construction products and materials. You will analyse results, prepare technical reports and work with clients to understand testing needs.

The role offers practical training, exposure to real testing scenarios, and the chance to grow technical expertise within a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Level 3 qualification in mechanical/construction or related field.
• Some practical engineering experience from work or projects.
• Methodical approach and keen attention to detail.
• Confident with data and documenting findings.
• Good communication skills and client interactions.

Responsabilités

• Set up and carry out physical and mechanical testing on construction products and components.
• Prepare samples, test rigs and measuring equipment.
• Collect and analyse test data.
• Interpret test requirements, standards and specifications.
• Produce clear and accurate technical reports.
• Work directly with clients to understand testing requirements.
• Contribute to improving testing methods and team efficiency.
