Job summary

Asobbi Ltd is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to own supplier quality across UK and EU supply chains for defence/aerospace hardware. You will work with engineering, manufacturing and procurement to ensure traceability, correct evidence and flight-critical compliance.

You will lead First Article Inspections, manage NCR/SCAR/CAPA, and drive supplier development while supporting MRB and deviations. On-site in London with regular supplier travel is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in a hardware environment with direct supplier interaction.
• Knowledge of AS9100/ISO9001 quality management systems.
• Experience with NCR/SCAR/CAPA processes and 8D reporting.
• Capability to review drawings, specifications and production requirements.

Responsibilities

• Own supplier quality activity across assigned suppliers and programmes.
• Assess and qualify new suppliers with engineering and procurement.
• Review supplier capability against drawings and production requirements.
• Lead First Article Inspection activity (AS9102).
• Review certificates, inspection records and traceability documentation.
• Manage NCRs, SCARs, CAPA and corrective actions.
• Conduct root-cause investigations using 8D/5Why/Fishbone tools.
• Improve supplier process capability and right-first-time performance.
• Support incoming inspection and supplier release strategy.
• Collaborate with engineering to resolve tolerances and manufacturability issues.
• Support MRB, concessions and deviation processes.
• Audit supplier facilities and drive recovery plans.
