Job summary

Talion Cyber Security operates a 24x7 Security Operations Centre (SOC) to monitor and protect client networks from cyber threats. This hands-on role focuses on analysing events and responding to security incidents within a shift-based schedule, contributing to resilient IT environments for diverse customers.

You will work with IDS/IPS, SIEM tools and firewalls, coordinating with IT and security teams to detect and mitigate threats while gaining certifications and advancing your security career.

Qualifications

• Broad experience of technologies including but not limited to firewalls, IPS & IDS, Active Directory, Windows Server, Linux, TCP/IP, networks, AWS, CDNs, vulnerability management and SIEM.
• At least basic knowledge of the fundamentals of cyber security.
• Security administration and incident containment, recovery and mitigation.
• Experience coordinating with multiple teams and working to SLAs in a SOC environment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyse IDS/IPS and SIEM logs to identify threats for remediation.
• Assist in 1st line security incident response for large organizations.
• Communicate alerts to IT, Network or Security groups promptly.
• Support senior analysts with counter-measures and controls.
• Suggest improvements to operational effectiveness and efficiency.
