Job summary

Keystone Care in West Sussex seeks a Registered Service Manager to lead a small residential care service for adults with disabilities. The role focuses on delivering high‑quality, person‑centred support with strong compliance and financial oversight.

You will be responsible for registration, operations, recruiting and developing a dedicated team, ensuring safety and regulatory adherence while fostering a positive, supportive culture.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Registered Manager/Service Manager or similar leadership role.
• Experience in adult social care.
• Recognition of appropriate health and social care qualifications and registrations where applicable.
• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the day-to-day operation of the service.
• Provide strong, visible leadership to the care team.
• Promote person-centred support and positive outcomes for residents.
• Maintain compliance with regulatory, statutory and health & safety requirements.
• Manage recruitment, induction, training, supervision and performance.
• Develop and maintain a motivated and high-performing team.
• Manage budgets and ensure the service operates effectively financially.
• Maintain strong safeguarding and risk management practices.
• Ensure care standards and policies are consistently implemented.
• Build positive relationships with residents, families, staff and external stakeholders.
• Hold registration responsibility for the service.
• Participate in on-call arrangements and provide support when required.
• Be flexible to travel or stay away overnight occasionally where required.
