Job summary

Claires Court School in Maidenhead is seeking a hands-on School Facilities and Maintenance Technician to join the Estates Team. You will tackle repairs, fault finding and planned maintenance across our school sites, helping keep buildings, facilities and grounds safe and welcoming for pupils and staff.

The role is permanent, full-time (40 hours/week, Mon-Fri) with 52 weeks per year and start in November 2026.

Qualifications

• Experience in property maintenance, caretaking or a similar practical role.
• Ability to complete a range of minor repairs to a good standard.
• Practical problem solving and a proactive approach.

Responsibilities

• General repairs to doors, windows, locks, flooring and furniture, plus painting and decorating.
• Minor plumbing and electrical work within your competence, including fault finding and sourcing parts.
• Keeping outdoor areas safe and tidy, clearing drains and gutters, seasonal grounds work.
