Job summary

Claires Court School in Maidenhead is seeking an experienced School Facilities and Maintenance Technician to maintain buildings, facilities and grounds as part of the Estates Team. The role offers a 40-hour week, year-round work and a hands-on, proactive position.

You’ll tackle repairs, routine maintenance, setting up spaces for events and supporting safety checks to ensure a welcoming, safe environment for pupils and staff.

Qualifications

• Experience in property maintenance, caretaking or a similar practical role is essential.
• Able to complete a range of minor repairs to a good standard and know when to seek specialist support.
• Reliable, organised and approachable with a practical approach to solving problems.

Responsibilities

• General repairs to doors, windows, locks, flooring and furniture; painting and decorating; basic carpentry.
• Minor plumbing and electrical work within your competence, including fault finding and sourcing parts.
• Keep outdoor areas safe and tidy; clear drains and gutters; support seasonal grounds work.
• Set up furniture and equipment for examinations, assemblies, parents' evenings and sporting events.
• Handle deliveries and move equipment between local sites; support swimming pool maintenance and safety checks.
