Search is seeking an experienced Production Manager to run the Angus chemical plant on a hands-on basis, leading a small production team and ensuring safe, efficient, compliant operation.

The role emphasizes troubleshooting, continuous improvement, generating records, and collaborating with technical and commercial teams; a UK driving licence and a background in chemical/manufacturing are essential.

• Proven experience in chemical or process manufacturing operations.
• Experience supervising production personnel.
• Strong health and safety awareness in manufacturing.
• Hands-on, problem-solving approach to plant operations.
• Strong numeracy and ability to interpret production data.
• Excellent organizational and prioritization abilities.
• Ability to work independently and make sound operational decisions.
• Excellent communication with cross-functional teams.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize and manage day-to-day production activities.
• Lead, support and motivate a small team of production operators.
• Monitor production performance, raw material usage, yields and stock levels.
• Troubleshoot plant and process issues and implement improvements.
• Maintain accurate production records, procedures and safe working practices.
• Collaborate with Technical, Sales Admin and other functions to ensure effective operations.
• Contribute to development of plant and processes as production grows.
• Promote a strong safety culture and maintain operational standards.
