UBT is seeking a Product Designer to join the Peterborough team. You will drive concepts through the full product development lifecycle from brief to CAD development, prototyping and production, blending product and structural design with manufacturability.

Collaborate with designers, suppliers and clients, turning ideas into high-quality products while exploring materials, finishes and new manufacturing techniques.

Competenze

• Degree-qualified in Product Design, Industrial Design or a related discipline.
• Strong Adobe Illustrator skills.
• Good working knowledge of SolidWorks or similar 3D CAD software.
• Ability to sketch and communicate concepts effectively.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• High attention to detail.
• Comfortable working within a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Mansioni

• Develop innovative product concepts from client briefs.
• Create and refine designs using 3D CAD software.
• Produce and evaluate physical prototypes using in-house prototyping equipment.
• Support projects from concept through to final production.
• Work directly with suppliers to ensure designs are manufacturable and commercially viable.
• Research new materials, finishes and production techniques.
• Present ideas and design solutions to internal stakeholders and clients.
• Utilise AI-assisted tools to support concept development and visualisation.
