Job summary

Thorlabs in Ely is seeking a Product Assembler to join the Tables Accessories production team. You will be hands-on, assembling table accessories from parts to dispatch and trained to support other areas such as Vibration Isolation Systems and MB Breadboard Inspection and Pack.

Hours are Mon-Thu 7:30–16:30 and Fri 7:30–12:30. The role offers in-house training, pension, private health care, 25 days holiday plus public holidays, and onsite parking.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment.
• High level of attention to detail and focus.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Good level of mechanical aptitude and practical skill.
• Ability to identify and resolve problems quickly; proven team player.

Responsibilities

• Assemble Table accessories from parts to dispatch.
• Accurate kitting and stock accuracy of components.
• Interpret work orders and assembly instructions.
• Work within a team to meet production targets.
• Complete related paperwork accurately.
• Support team leaders with workplace initiatives and cross-training.
• Assist in quality and process improvement initiatives.
• Learn and support other assembly/inspection roles.
