Job summary

Thorlabs is seeking a Manufacturing Operator to work on the Tables product line at our Ely facility, 12 miles from Cambridge. You will operate precision machinery, record accurate measurements, and contribute to improving quality and output within a hands-on production team.

You will receive training to operate a wide range of equipment, with emphasis on detail, safety, and collaboration. Benefits include pension, health care, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Working within an allocated team to achieve scheduled manufacturing targets
• Training and development to set and operate a wide range of precision industrial machinery
• Maintaining accurate technical measurements and readings
• Communicate product status accurately via the production control system and paperwork
• Participate in cross-training to increase knowledge of the Tables Business Unit
• Support and drive problem solving and quality/performance improvement
