Job summary

Huntsman is seeking a Process Support Operator for its chemical manufacturing site in Duxford, Cambridge. The role is permanent, 40 hours per week, with rotating shifts from 6am–2pm, 2pm–10pm, and 10pm–6am.

The position involves stock control, housekeeping, waste handling, labeling and practical production tasks to support the production team. The successful candidate will be safety-minded, reliable and able to work hands-on in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• A safe, reliable and practical approach to work.
• Good attention to detail and ability to follow procedures.
• Basic numeracy, literacy and computer skills.
• Willingness to work shifts and carry out hands-on, physically demanding tasks.
• Previous manufacturing, warehouse or forklift experience would be helpful, but is not essential.

Responsibilities

• Replenish consumable stock and help keep production areas organised
• Support material preparation, labelling, run-outs and other production tasks
• Support practical production activities such as waste handling, pallet management, packing/filling support and general housekeeping
• Use forklift trucks to move materials, waste and pallets safely
• Follow site safety procedures and report hazards, incidents or near misses
• Work with Production, Procurement and Warehouse colleagues to support daily operations
