Parkdean Resorts UK Limited in Whitley Bay is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to help keep our holiday park's facilities safe and looking great. You will handle general repairs, groundskeeping, and landscaping, delivering practical maintenance with a hands‑on approach.

This role requires physical work outdoors in all weather, the ability to work weekends and holidays, and a Full UK Driving Licence. You’ll join a busy team across our 65 parks, with opportunities to train and grow.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with groundskeeping and maintenance tasks.
• Ability to perform physical work including lifting and standing for extended periods.
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Familiarity with hand and power tools.

Responsibilities

• Carry out general maintenance, handyperson, and grounds duties including mowing, painting, fencing, landscaping and minor repairs.
• Keep outdoor areas tidy and safe through tree/hedge pruning, litter picking, jet washing and pothole repairs.
• Use the job management system to schedule, track, and complete owner jobs and fleet repairs.
• Maintain flower beds and planted areas, including weeding and planting.
• Change gas bottles safely and efficiently.
• Ensure bin bays are clean and tidy.
• Respond to guest enquiries in a friendly, proactive manner and collaborate with park teams.
• Perform pitch tidies and assist with moving/siting holiday homes.
• Work independently and with integrity, seeking support when needed.
