Veolia ES Shropshire Limited is seeking an Operation & Maintenance Assistant to support the Battlefield Energy Recovery Facility, transforming residual waste into energy and ensuring safe, reliable plant operation.
The role suits a safety-conscious, hands-on professional with good communication and the ability to work with minimal supervision. A full driving licence is essential, and prior experience with mobile plant is advantageous.
Competenze
- Experience in supporting plant operations and maintenance.
- Safety-conscious team player.
- Good communication and computer skills.
- Full driving licence required.
- Counterbalance forklift/telehandler/wheel loader qualifications desirable.
Mansioni
- Operate and maintain the Battlefield Energy Recovery Facility.
- Manage waste reception and ash residue areas.
- Coordinate vehicle movements and operate mobile plant.
- Operate plant refuge cranes in accordance with procedures.
- Regularly clean plant and equipment to maintain health and safety standards.
- Carry out plant inspections and share readings with the operations team.
- Collaborate with the operations shift team and follow direction from supervisors.
