Job summary

Interaction Recruitment is representing a Barnsley-based engineering company seeking a hands-on Mechanical Design Engineer. The role focuses on design and development of both new and existing products, working closely with the workshop manufacturing team and supporting other areas as required.

Day-to-day responsibilities include producing concept designs, detailed 2D/3D drawings and BOMs, reviewing drawings, and sometimes reverse engineering.

Qualifications

• Producing concept design ideas.
• Producing detailed drawings and 3D CAD models.
• Analysing customer requirements to create accurate parts lists.
• Review drawings and prepare drawing documentation.
• Reverse engineering of products.
• Communicate with team members from various departments.
• Adhere to health and safety rules and procedures.
