Job summary

Reevr Talent Ltd is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer for a hands-on role within a growing UK engineering and manufacturing business. You will develop and deliver mechanical designs across bespoke projects, taking concepts through to production and collaborating with manufacturing teams to ensure practicality and cost-effectiveness.

The role focuses on creating detailed 3D CAD models and drawings, developing components and assemblies, and supporting products from concept through manufacture

Qualifications

• Mechanical engineering/design experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong SolidWorks skills (Essential).
• Ability to produce detailed engineering drawings.
• Good understanding of Design for Manufacture (DFM).
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a wider engineering team.
• A practical, hands-on approach to engineering.
• Engineering qualification or relevant industry experience.

Responsibilities

• Producing detailed 3D CAD models and engineering drawings.
• Developing bespoke mechanical components, assemblies and systems.
• Supporting projects from concept and design through to manufacture.
• Working closely with manufacturing teams to ensure designs are practical, cost-effective and fit for purpose.
• Making design improvements and resolving technical issues throughout the product lifecycle.
• Working with suppliers and external stakeholders where required.
• Supporting the development of new products and continuous improvement of existing designs.
• Ensuring designs meet relevant engineering standards and customer requirements.
