Job summary

Yolk Recruitment Ltd is seeking a motivated Maintenance & Site Services Assistant for a hands-on role in a busy manufacturing facility in Clevedon. The successful candidate will support the engineering team, learn across multiple systems, and help keep plant equipment running smoothly.

You will gain exposure to water treatment and Legionella controls, with ongoing training. The role offers a Monday–Friday day pattern, with a starting salary around £30,000 and clear progression opportunities

Qualifications

• Previous experience operating counterbalance forklifts.
• Experience in a manufacturing/industrial environment.
• Comfortable around industrial machinery and doing routine inspections.
• Practical, hands-on approach with some mechanical knowledge.
• Exposure to water treatment systems or Legionella monitoring is beneficial (training provided).
• Good understanding of health and safety procedures in industrial settings.
• Willingness to learn and take on more responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts to move materials and maintenance supplies safely.
• Monitor water treatment systems and assist Legionella control procedures.
• Inspect production machinery for leaks and potential maintenance issues.
• Check fluid levels and stock of oils, lubricants and other consumables.
• Assist with housekeeping and safe working areas around machinery.
• Support crane operations and general material handling with training as needed.
• Work with the maintenance team across a range of industrial machinery.
