Job summary

Todd Hayes is seeking a proactive Maintenance Engineer for a hands-on role in Shipdham. The position involves a roughly 60/40 split between fabrication and mechanical maintenance to keep the animal feeds production plant running efficiently.

You will perform planned and reactive maintenance, replace bearings, and weld using Mig and stick processes. Experience in metal fabrication, scaffolding, boiler work and basic plumbing is valued. This is a full-time on-site role.

Qualifications

• Experience in metal fabrication, including frame builds and sheet work.
• Welding experience with Mig and stick welding.
• Basic plumbing knowledge.
• Scaffolding erection and ladder safety familiarity.
• Ability to work under breakdown pressure with a proactive mindset.

Responsibilities

• Undertake planned and reactive maintenance to maximise plant uptime.
• Ensure all tasks comply with health, safety, quality and feed safety standards.
• Replace bearings on machinery and plant.
• Observe and report problems; work with other departments.
• Welding experience using Mig and stick welding.
• Supervise day-to-day maintenance staff while performing hands-on duties.
